good >>> good afternoon, everybody, i'm larry beil. >> a dramatic rescue today in san francisco over when two teens saw a woman struggling in the water, it's unclear at this point if she fell. the teens climbed down the cliff to pull her to safety and realized they couldn't get back up the cliff. the coast guard came to the rescue and got all three. >> the victim put on a stretcher and lifted into a helicopter. you can see her being hoisted up. cruise rushed her to the doctor. the two good samaritans waded out in the ocean and waive runners rescued them. both had minor cuts and scrapes. >> we're good the calm before storm two, the second half of the wet weather double header moving in the area tonight. there could be more down trees still to come. people doing their best today to clean up after the storm. spencer christian is on the roof with an accu-weather forecast. hi, spencer. >> things may seem calm now. partly to mostly cloudy skies behind me. no precipitation at the moment. over the bay area, but this is an intense storm coming our way. you can see storms over the land ar
>>> good afternoon, everybody, i'm larry beil >> for the second time in just over a week a gas leak forced evacuation of skyline high school in oakland today, causing chaos for teachers, students and bus sdpriefrz parents want answers. nick smith is live outside of the high school with more. nick? >> reporter: good afternoon, i have new information i just got off the phone with the spokesperson for oakland unified school district. i can confirm classes will resume and they have put a permanent cap on the source of the leak that started as an evacuation ended up being classes cancelled for the day. now, we know school officials are investigating whether or not students may have played a role in releasing that gas valve. this hurried, jumbled mess not caused bit last class bell, it's students of skyline rushing to leave the school. >> alarm went off. they smelled gas around the 50 building not too far from our classroom. >> reporter: it started because of a cold classroom. >> they asked building maintenance to turn on the heat. that is what happened. something was wrong. >> reporter
good >>> good afternoon, everybody, i'm larry beil >> heavy rains pounding the bay area today, it's rain that we needed but created lots of problems. in the north bay, drivers had to wade through flooded roads. a similar scene in the south bay this, car stuck in heavy flooding this morning. it wasn't just flooding, trees toppled in the wind and rain across the bay area. this tree fell on power lines and caught fire in santa rosa. >> so much rain, one neighborhood in pitsber flooded this morning. it's dry right now, but more rain is on the way. we have live coverage this afternoon. and you're without umbrella, spencer that tells us what is going on. >> just a minute ago, i had the umbrella up, it was raining here. this is how fast it was scattered areas of showers are moving showers just passed over us. and i thought well, i'll put the umbrella down just a moment. here is live doppler 7 hd. areas of showers and rainfall scattered about the bay area. some pockets of locally heavy rain. moving from sonoma county into napa county. a wide area of down pours there. rainfall over the ea

'll continue the breaking story on air and on line. good afternoon, everybody i'm larry beil. >> a cloudy day. showers are moving in. this is a live look across the bay at san francisco. you can see clouds out there >> looks rather ominous and threatening. >> spencer christian is here with the accu-weather forecast. >> it's cloudy where we are. we have areas of rain developing now not very wide spread but i'll show you where wet spots are at the moment in north bay, the rain concentrated around santa rosa area. pockets of rainfall here and there. you can see we have widely separated waves of moisture moving in now. mainly light rain at the moment we expect to it get better organized but rainfall totals last 24 hours railroad not much to talk about. 1/100ths so far in santa rosa. four hpths in mount st. helena. nothing measurable any place else but we do expect rain to become more wide spread. and we rainfall totals by 1:00 in the afternoon probably not more than a half inch to an inch. only a trace to quarter inch once again, it's a light rainfall event but maybe in the beginning something mo
